TD Bank opens Warwick branch

WARWICK – TD Bank has opened a new Rhode Island branch at 2625 West Shore Road, Warwick. The new location is the bank’s fifth store in the Ocean State. As of Jan. 31, 2012, the institution has brought more than 60 jobs to the state.
The new branch also reflects the bank’s dedication to a green philosophy, as it is the 60th energy-efficient location across the bank’s Maine to Florida footprint. It will target LEED Platinum certification based on its overall environmental performance. It is the fourth store in Rhode Island that is LEED-designed.
To manage the new store and its nine to 12 employees that are hired locally, TD Bank has chosen local resident Patrick Mooney. As store manager, he will be responsible for new business development, consumer lending, and managing personnel and day-to-day operations. Mooney, a Warwick resident, comes to TD Bank from Sovereign Bank, where he managed their Warwick Hillsgrove branch. He has spent the last 10 years in banking, and holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bryant University.
TD was named “Best Regional Bank/East” in Money magazine’s “Best Banks 2011” list. The list recognized TD Bank for its convenient hours and low bar to free checking. For the convenience of its customers, the new TD Bank will be open:
