PROVIDENCE – TEDxProvidence is returning to the Columbus Theater April 9, and the organizers are looking for nominations for guest speakers.
The themes this year are “create, innovate and play.”
TEDxProvidence is a local event intended to bring people together to share a TED-like experience. It is closely aligned with the national TED brand and attracts hundreds of people each year, according to organizers. The TED conference, known for short talks on topics about technology, entertainment and design, provides general guidance for the TEDx program.
Past TEDxProvidence speaker Dr. Alyson McGregor has been featured on the TED website for the TEDx video, “Why medicine often has dangerous side effects for women.”
This will be the fifth time TEDxProvidence will be held.
