WARWICK – The R.I. Airport Corporation is preparing for the influx of passengers traveling in and out of T.F. Green Airport and the InterLink this Thanksgiving holiday.
Air carriers reported busier than average passenger ticket levels starting Tuesday, Nov. 20, and continuing through Monday, Nov. 26.
RIAC encouraged travelers to allow extra time to navigate the busy airport from parking to ticketing and through the security checkpoint. Peak travel times are between 6–9 a.m. and 2-6 p.m.
On a Thanksgiving-related note, the airport corporation reminds travelers that food items such as pies and cakes are permitted to be carried on, but may require further inspection. Other food items, such as wine and cranberry sauce are not permitted through the security check points and must be packed in checked luggage.
