Tech10 RI Technology Awards open for nominations

PROVIDENCE – Tech Collective, Rhode Island’s industry association for information technology and bioscience, is accepting nominations and applications for its 2014 Tech10 awards program.
Established in 2010, the Tech10 Awards recognize the 10 most accomplished professionals in the state’s information technology, digital media and entrepreneurial arenas. Tech10 recognizes Rhode Island IT practitioners and entrepreneurs who excel in their practice, demonstrate a passion for contributing to the success of others, and are pioneering in their technological and career achievements. For the technology community, Tech10 is the opportunity for Rhode Island business and industry to identify its exceptional participants and its future leaders.
“Since 2010, Tech10 has recognized 30 of Rhode Island’s top technology professionals and up-and-coming leaders,” Kathie Shields, executive director of Tech Collective, said. “More than just their outstanding technical expertise, these are industry movers and shakers, volunteers, mentors and influencers. They are doing extraordinary things to enable their companies and their clients. And they are our state’s next set of leaders driving Rhode Island’s IT community and economy forward. We are proud of the Tech10 alum we’ve honored to date, and we look forward to honoring our 2014 Tech10 Award winners.”
Individuals can apply for the awards themselves or submit nominations or applications for colleagues, employees, clients, partners, etc. at www.tech10awards.com. Deadline for all nominations and applications is Oct. 6.
Tech10 honorees will be announced in mid-October and honored at an awards celebration to be held on Nov. 20 at Kirkbrae Country Club in Lincoln. Three Tech10 recipients will additionally be honored with special recognitions announced at the event.
