PROVIDENCE – The Providence Warwick Convention & Visitors Bureau (PWCVB) is proud to report two promotions within their staff.

Bryan Lavin was promoted to the position of Director of National Accounts. Bryan previously served as National Sales Manager, a position he held since 2007. In this role, Bryan secured meetings, conventions, and tradeshows for the destination. Such successes include the JLC Live residential construction show, the National Association for Music Education’s northeast annual conference, and the Institute for Computational and Experimental Research in Mathematics (ICERM) 2012 conference series.

Bryan also currently serves as the Vice-President of Marketing & Communications for Meeting Planners International, New England chapter. He will soon be appointed to the Board of MPI New England, serving as Vice-President of Finance and Administration. Bryan is a graduate of Worcester State University and earned a Master of Business degree from Johnson & Wales University in 2011.

Nicholas Millard joins the full-time staff as Creative Service Coordinator. Nick previously worked with the organization as Electronic Media Assistant. In his new role, Nick will take on increased responsibility within the PWCVB’s marketing efforts, particularly involving photography and videography.

Nick, a 2010 graduate of Bryant University, has used his audio-visual production background to energize the organization’s social media efforts on YouTube and Flickr. To date, the PWCVB YouTube channel (youtube.com/pwcvb) has received more than 17,500 views. Nick’s “Best Burgers in Providence” video recently landed on the front page of the Travel + Leisure website.
