The Schwartz Center for Children recently announced its collaboration with Southcoast Hospitals Group to strengthen local access to rehabilitation services for children with special needs. The Schwartz Center staff will continue to provide the highly specialized rehabilitation services in a newly renovated suite within its current location at 1 Posa Place in Dartmouth, under the direction of Southcoast Rehabilitation Services.
“We honor our legacy as we seek to strengthen the foundation on which the Schwartz Center was founded – collaboration, selflessness and deep concern for the care and well-being of our most vulnerable children. The collaboration with Southcoast is the beginning of our overall initiative to seek out like-minded partners, with the goal of increasing access to our highly specialized services and to meet the ever-changing needs of our children,” said Schwartz Center CEO Mary Hodgson.
Southcoast Hospitals Group, which offers health services throughout southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island, includes: Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford and Tobey Hospital in Wareham. •
