With work including specialty engineering, plant construction, laboratory testing and 24/7 emergency response, Thielsch Engineering Inc. has a vast and varied portfolio.
That ability to tackle opportunities presented by all levels of customers – along with the company’s ability to anticipate and respond to their evolving needs – is paying off when it comes Thielsch’s bottom line, said Trent Theroux, the firm’s vice president of finance. The company has seen its revenue increase from $90 million in 2011 to $117.5 million in 2013, a 31 percent jump.
“By continuing to develop our breadth of services, and through selective expansion of our geographic footprint, Thielsch Engineering is becoming more ‘top of mind’ for both our current clients as well as potential new clients,” said Theroux.
With 10 offices in the United States including its Cranston headquarters, the company has taken on several high-profile projects, including a sizable electrical redesign for the Rhode Island Statehouse. That work is been done through Theilsch’s creative-environment-engineering division, Theroux said.
Additionally, the company’s RISE Engineering division continues to build on its energy efficiency services by expanding to utilities and programs throughout the Northeast. The division is also engaged in public and private sector projects in Boston, and southeastern and central Massachusetts.
Looking ahead, Theroux said, the goal is to compete in a manner similar to a successful Fortune 500 engineering, procurement, construction and project-management firm, just at a mid-market scale.
“We want to be an integrated multi-disciplinary resource, providing frontier solutions across a range of industries and markets,” he said.
