PAWTUCKET – Thurlow Small Architecture Inc. has received three awards for its Pawtucket Downtown Design Plan.

The Pawtucket plan received the 2011 award for urban planning from the American Institute of Architects Rhode Island chapter last month.

Then L+A Landscape Architecture, which was part of the Thurlow Small team for the Pawtucket plan, won an award from the American Society of Landscape Architects in their 2011 awards ceremony.

Rounding out the triple, the plan also picked up an award for Outstanding Comprehensive Planning from the American Planning Association’s Rhode Island chapter.

Thurlow Small worked on the downtown Pawtucket plan from June 2010 to April 2011 for the city and Pawtucket Foundation. •
