TribalVision CEO named SBA’s R.I. Small Business Person of the Year

(Updated 1:49 p.m.) PROVIDENCE – Chris Ciunci, CEO of TribalVision LLC, has been recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration as one of this year’s Small Business Person of the Year winners.
A winner from each state was announced.
TribalVision, which was created to serve small-to-midsize organizations without an internal marketing department, has its headquarters in Providence, but also has offices in New York; Cambridge, Mass.; and Belgium.
Ciunci said he is proud to be recognized, but said it is a team effort. He has 30 employees at the company.

A panel is currently reviewing all the packages and a national winner and two runners-up will be selected and announced at a future date, according to a news release from the SBA. The national winner will be recognized as the 2015 National Small Business Person of the Year by the SBA this year in Washington, D.C., May 8.
“Competition was extremely keen across the nation for these prestigious awards. I couldn’t be any prouder than recognizing these outstanding entrepreneurs and small business owners, they represent the backbone of our economy,” U.S. Small Business Administration Administrator Maria Contreras-Sweet said in a statement.
While Ciunci could not be immediately reached for comment, in an interview last year with PBN, he said the company develops and implements a marketing strategy for a firm, “with the goal of helping bring [it] to the next level in terms of revenue. All of our strategies focus on how we can generate more business for a company and then work backwards.”
