LINCOLN – Twin River Casino debuted 16 poker tables on Thursday on its second floor.
The tables, part of a new poker room, each seat 10 players and are the result of customer requests, according to casino spokeswoman Patti Doyle.

“We’re thrilled to expand our table game offerings,” Doyle said on Monday.
In June, the casino announced that it would add 28 new table games on the non-smoking second floor, including the poker tables. The new table games included traditional games such as Blackjack, and started to come on line in August.
John E. Taylor Jr., Twin River chairman, said that approximately 120 new jobs would be created as a result of the new games.
“An important part of our business philosophy has been to listen to what our customers want, and the addition of a poker room is one of most often heard requests,” Taylor said in a statement.
Taylor said the casino now has 108 table games. Approximately 274 slot machines were removed to accommodate the expanded table games, leaving a total of 4,225 slot machines at the casino, according to information from Twin River.
“We’ve said all along that if we can improve upon our guest experience, we will. That’s what drives our laser-like focus on customer service, our plans for a new amenity hotel on property and now, the expanded non-smoking floor offerings,” Taylor said. “We will continue to explore ways to remain competitive in this challenging regional market.”
Plainridge Park Casino opened in Plainville, Mass. in June, only 18 miles away.
