SOUTH KINGSTOWN – Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn, University of Rhode Island alumnus and assistant director of National Intelligence for Partner Engagement will deliver the keynote address at URI’s Cybersecurity Symposium.
The event, which will include forensics experts, computer network security and U.S. Rep. James R. Langevin will take place from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 2. It is free and open to the public.
Flynn, URI Class of 1981, was commissioned a second lieutenant in Military Intelligence and led the U.S. intelligence effort in Afghanistan.

The symposium will consist of panel discussions focused on federal initiatives and partnerships involved in workforce development to address both short and longterm cybersecurity threats.
