SOUTH KINGSTOWN – The University of Rhode Island’s Ryan Center will host the eighth annual Rhode Island Heart Gallery this month in partnership with Global Spectrum, the center’s facilities management company, and Adoption Rhode Island, a Providence nonprofit adoption agency.
The Heart Gallery is meant to raise awareness of the number of children in need of a “loving and supportive home,” according to a press release.
Adoption Rhode Island, Youth & Families, and the Rhode Island Department of Children worked with several local photographers to put together the gallery exhibit.
Those photographers volunteered their time to photograph children. Attached to each displayed photograph is the child’s biography. The gallery is displayed at the Ryan Center in lobbies and concourse locations throughout March.
