U.S. SBA seeks nominations for R.I. small business awards

NOMINATIONS are now being accepted by the U.S. Small Business Administration for the 2015 Rhode Island Small Business Person of the Year and other small business awards.
NOMINATIONS are now being accepted by the U.S. Small Business Administration for the 2015 Rhode Island Small Business Person of the Year and other small business awards.

PROVIDENCE – Nominations are now being accepted by the U.S. Small Business Administration for the 2015 Rhode Island Small Business Person of the Year and other small business awards.
Winners will be honored during the Rhode Island Small Business Week celebration in the spring. Nomination deadline is Nov. 21.
Awards will be presented in 11 categories. Any individual or organization dedicated to the support of the small business community may submit nominations for the awards.
Other awards include: Entrepreneurial Success Award, Jeffrey Butland Family-Owned Business of the Year, SBA Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Small Business Exporter of the Year, Minority Small Business of the Year, Veteran Small Business of the Year, Home-based Small Business of the Year, Women-Owned Business of the Year, Microenterprise of the Year and Financial Services Champion of the Year.
The Rhode Island Small Business Person of the Year also will have the opportunity to participate in the National Small Business Week activities and will compete for the National Small Business Person of the Year Award.
