UWRI announces Merger and Shared Services RFP

PROVIDENCE – United Way of Rhode Island has announced that the 2013 Merger and Shared Services RFP now is available for nonprofit sector applicants wishing to pursue a partnership with at least one other human services organization to consolidate administrative functions or enter into a merger or shared services agreement.
The goal of the fund is to allow organizations to increase dollars available for human services through such mergers, shared services agreements, or collaborations.
Up to $135,000 is available from United Way of Rhode Island. Special consideration will be given to applicants whose mission is aligned with United Way of Rhode Island’s focus areas in education, housing, income, and safety net.
Funds may be used for legal fees, consulting fees, outplacement services, technology integration, fundraising, and other similar functions.
Proposals will include a projected 3-year outcome from a planned collaboration and budget detail, among other items. More information is available through United Way of Rhode Island.
