Looking for a good read? Sunday, visitors to Providence’s Rochambeau Library can choose selections from a “human library,” in which people are the books and the stories are their lives. “Human books” are people who have experienced stereotyping or prejudice due to race, sex, age, disability, sexual preference, religion or other aspects, and wish to share their experiences on sensitive topics in a safe and respectful environment. Participants can simply find a “book” that looks interesting and start learning.
