PROVIDENCE – A discussion on how health care can be transformed through design was held at Butler Hospital on Aug. 28, organized by Michael Esordi, a designer at Care New England.
Headlined as “collaboration = innovation,” the discussion featured a number of a number of current and former RISD students who talked about their work.
One of the ongoing projects discussed was a way to capture and better understand the sounds that occur in a hospital and how they may affect the patient’s experience.
Among the presenters were Aidan Petrie, chief innovation officer and co-founder of Ximedica, and Elio Icaza Milson, a current RISD student.
The event was sponsored by Care New England.
