THIELSCH ENGINEERING INC., based in Cranston, offers a broad spectrum of services, including energy-efficiency process engineering, interactive data management, project management, environmental laboratory testing and water management, said Trent Theroux, vice president of finance.

Now with eight offices and more than 600 employees, the company’s largest clients, utility providers, represent more than 80 percent of revenue, he said. Thielsch Engineering has experienced steady growth since 1984, when it opened the Cranston office with seven employees. Through the early 1990s and thereafter, it thrived by developing new expertise, acquiring companies, opening offices and hiring staff.

Asked about the past few years at the company, employee-owned since 2008, Theroux directly attributes success to the staff passion for assisting clients through excellence and innovation.

“We are keenly aware that the measurement of our company is squarely determined by the value we deliver to our clients and the professional manner in which we deliver those services,” he said.

The company, however, keeps a keen eye on market trends and strategic advancement.

Thielsch Engineering “expects continued growth in all of the business units over the foreseeable future,” said Theroux. “The markets we service will evolve and [we are] actively seeking ways to position ourselves to capture opportunities in advance of changing markets.” •
