VNA of Care New England raises $50K at gala

WARWICK – The Visiting Nurse Association of Care New England raised nearly $50,000 at its “Evening of Fire & Ice” at the Roger Williams Park Botanical Center in Providence in December.
The event is held to celebrate the nonprofit’s work as well as to support the VNA’s community-based programs and services.
Kent Gladding, board chairman of the VNA of Care New England Foundation and co-chairman of the event, thanked supporters.
“This wonderful evening supports the high-quality home health care services which the VNA has provided for more than 100 years,” he said. “Thanks to so many across our state who believe in the VNA, this event was extremely successful and we are truly thankful for the support given to such a great cause.”
Part of Care New England Health System, VNA of Care New England is an accredited nonprofit, Medicare- and Medicaid-certified visiting nurse, home health care and hospice agency. Serving adults and the elderly, the VNA offers cardiac, pulmonary, rehabilitative and palliative care as well as hospice.
The presenting sponsor for this event was Centreville Bank. Numerous other sponsors included nursing homes, credit unions, Kent Hospital staff, businesses, couples and individuals.
