Vector Software launches VectorCast Global Services

PROVIDENCE – Vector Software Inc., which designs software-testing solutions for embedded systems and applications, announced the launch last week of VectorCast Global Services, a new consulting division within the company.
The Global Services team, including embedded software development and testing experts, will offer project consulting, best practices workshops, continuous-test process implementation, and industry standards compliance analysis for Vector Software’s clients.
“We’re enthused about the launch of VectorCast Global Services,” said William McCaffrey, chief operating officer at Vector Software, in a release. “Over the last few years we have seen a significant increase in requests for consulting services related to best practices. Our deep software test domain expertise and globally deployed technical staff will allow us to offer tremendous value to our clients.”
On Jan. 27, days after announcing the formation of VectorCast Global Services, Vector Software announced that Hilderman had joined the company as director of global services. The new organization, led by Vance Hilderman, will help customers implement best practices to improve software quality, establish repeatable software-development and testing processes, and ultimately reduce costs.
“We’re extremely pleased to have added a professional with Vance’s expertise” said McCaffrey. “With his track record of success, and thought leadership in the safety-critical space, Vance is the perfect person to head our Global Services group.”
An experienced consultant in the safety-critical software industry, Hilderman most recently served as president of Worldwide HighRely, a data backup and disaster-recovery company in Reno, Nev. He has trained more than 9,000 engineers and managers in development methodology and standards compliance, in industries including avionics, medical device, industrial controls, automotive and telecommunications.
Hilderman holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering and an MBA from Gonzaga University.
“[VectorCast Global Services] will truly be transformative within safety-critical industries,” said Hilderman. “This is not outsourcing – VectorCAST Global Services will work alongside our clients to mentor best practices and enable the client to develop internal expertise, while maintaining control of their intellectual property.”
