WARWICK – Information technology company Atrion SMB is now known as Vertikal6.
Atrion SMB previously operated as a joint venture between Atrion Inc. and RhodeOne Technology Solutions, according to Vertikal6 President Rick Norberg.
“While Atrion was still a great partner, there was just a lot of brand confusion,” Norberg said.
To build the new brand, Vertikal6 will launch a new website, new social media pages, and a new tagline, “Where strategy elevates technology.” It also revised its mission, Norberg said recently.
The “6” in the name reflects the company’s six core values: care deeply, innovate relentlessly, service sincerely, collaborate feverishly, listen earnestly and improve eternally, he explained.
As part of its rebranding program, Vertikal6 is running a promotion called “Get6 with V6,” in which companies can enter to win a private cloud server for six months.
Vertikal6 also is offering a free educational seminar on May 11 from 3-4:30 p.m. about cybersecurity for businesses.
The company, which unveiled the new brand internally in March, has 22 employees and serves small to medium-sized business customers throughout Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut, as well as Nevada.
Norberg said the joint venture with Atrion happened during a chance meeting with Tim Hebert, president and CEO of Atrion, at Hope Artiste Village where Norberg had an office for his business, RhodeOne.
At the time, Hebert was looking for a partner to assist Atrion in supporting small to medium-sized businesses, as Atrion was shifting its focus to the mid-size and enterprise-level markets.
Atrion Inc. and Atrion SMB ran as separate entities from January 2010 until September 2015.
