Vision 3 wins Armstrong award

PROVIDENCE – Vision 3 Architects has been chosen as the “Reality” winner in the Armstrong World Industries “ideas 2 reality” design competition for their design of the new NaviNet corporate offices in Boston.
The design was chosen as in the Commercial Ceiling and Wall Systems category out of 140 projects submitted in the competition from firms throughout the country. The “reality” winner is for a project that has been built and Armstrong also chose an “idea” winner for a project that has not be built.
The new NaviNet offices occupy 65,000 square feet in three floors in a historic building in Boston’s Leather District. The design combined historic elements of the building with modern features, colors, textures and finishes.
“The design allows for lines of sight to the outdoors from virtually all areas of the open office space and defines traffic areas with ceiling components comprised of wood, metal, and lighting details. Those details are strategically repeated throughout the space to create a cohesive design,” Vision3 said in a release announcing the award.
