PROVIDENCE – Women & Infants Hospital is teaming up with the Cranston-based Alex and Ani jewelry manufacturer to offer an exclusive new bangle that represents the hospital’s mission and the patients it serves, hospitals officials announced on April 4.
The new bangle, which was unveiled on April 5, is scheduled to go on sale on May 1 at the Women and Infants gift shop, at Alex and Ani retail locations, and online.

The relationship marketing partnership, called “Charity By Design,” is “the heart and soul of Alex and Ani,” according to the company’s website. “By allowing consumers to enter the charitable world through their purchases, we believe a new generation of philanthropists will emerge,” the company’s website said.
To date, Alex and Ani have 33 designs in their Charity By Design collection – with Women & Infants’ bangle slate to be the latest creation. The jewelry manufacture says that it embraces the power of positive energy as a core company belief, utilizing methods to infuse products that “mix the subtle energy of the universe with vital force.” The website explains further: “while we may not physically see this energy, we can see and feel its effects.”
