WARWICK – Powerdyne International Inc., a Warwick-based manufacturer of electrical power generation equipment, is considering a move to Worcester, Mass., the company announced Tuesday.

CEO Dale P. Euga gave a formal presentation last month to Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce officials, including President and CEO Timothy Murray, to declare Powerdyne’s intention to establish its main manufacturing facility in the city.

Euga cited Worcester’s labor force and transportation assets as draws for Powerdyne, which he said would take advantage of the city’s “ideal” location in central Massachusetts to easily transport the company’s line of PDIGenset portable electrical power generators by air, rail or truck to interstate and international customers.

At the conclusion of the presentation, Euga said he believed Murray recognized “the wide range of mutual benefits” for both Powerdyne and the city should the company establish a facility in Worcester. In fact, according to Euga, Murray offered to help obtain access to resources of the city government to assist Powerdyne in its relocation efforts.

W. Stuart Loosemore, director of government affairs and public policy for the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, told the Worcester Business Journal that Powerdyne is “ready to go kind of sooner rather than later,” although no specific timetable was discussed during the meeting.
