WARWICK – The imPOSSIBLE Dream playground is the 16th most popular playground in the country, and the No. 1 playground in New England.
The imPOSSIBLE Dream, Rhode Island’s first integrated playground, offers an environment that is play friendly for children of all physical abilities.
The No. 1 playground in the U.S. is Zachary’s Playground in Lake Saint Louis, Miss. The best playground list was generated by Early Childhood Education Zone, an early childhood education news website.
Mayor Scott Avedisian held a press conference at the Centerville Road playground on June 14 to congratulate the imPOSSIBLE Dream staff and to announce a partnership between the city and Accessible RI, a group that provides information about accessible recreational venues in the state.

The city’s Department of Tourism, Culture and Development and Accessible RI have made information available for travelers and residents about handicap accessible hotels, restaurants, recreation facilities and other locations that are handicap accessible. Information is available on the city’s website www.visitwarwick.com. The city also has provided its 16 hotels with hundreds of Accessible RI books; the books will be available to guests who inquire about handicap accessible restaurants, venues and public areas.
According to information from the city, Warwick has the most hotels in the state.
