Wash. Trust honors 3 for job, community work

PROVIDENCE – The Washington Trust Co. recently honored three employees for what the bank is calling standout performances on the job and in the community.
Sharon Arruda, vice president and underwriting manager; Will LeFavor, associate counsel at one of the bank’s wealth management units, Weston Financial Group; and Keith Lavimodiere, vice president and a branch manager, were recognized at Washington Trust’s annual Employee Fest.
“It is an honor to recognize Sharon, Will and Keith as they truly embody the spirit and values of Washington Trust,” said Joseph MarcAurele, Washington Trust’s chairman, president and CEO. “To be recognized by your peers is one of the greatest compliments anyone can receive and these three individuals have earned that honor.”
Arruda and LeFavor each earned The Spirit of Washington Trust Award, given to employees who are deemed good role models for other company employees.
Lavimodiere, who manages Reservoir Avenue branch in Cranston, received the Community Service Award for volunteering his time to various Rhode Island-based community organizations.
Arruda joined Washington Trust in 1986 and worked her way up from a secretarial position to vice president. LeFavor has been with Weston Financial Group in Wellesley, Mass., since 2005. Lavimodiere was hired in 2008.
