PROVIDENCE – Rhode Island is home to two of the nation’s top 24 lobster rolls, according to a survey published by the New York-based women’s lifestyle website PureWow.
Matunuck Oyster Bar in South Kingstown earned 12th place and Narragansett’s Champlin’s Seafood took 16th place. Champlin’s fried clams also earned a mention.
“Do yourself a favor and save room for the fried clams,” the website states.
The Clam Shack in Kennebunkport, Maine produces the nation’s top lobster roll. The Lobster Shack in Camp Elizabeth, Maine, was second on the list and B&G Oysters in Boston was third.
Survey results included lobster rolls from as far and wide as Baltimore and California.
