PROVIDENCE – Webster Bank is holding a “one-stop shopping” Home Buyer Open House with bank officers on hand to assist with pre-qualification for mortgages and local realtors on-site with area listings, according to a press release from the bank.
“This is a great time to buy a home. Not only are the home prices low, but interest rates are also low. Historically, you usually get one or the other,” said Webster Bank spokeswoman Brenda Greene.
The open is from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 27.
“We held it last year on a Saturday and had a good turnout. It’s when people often have some free time and they can bring their kids,” said Greene. “Especially for families with children, spring is right time of the year to start shopping for a home because they want to move during the summer so they can enroll the children in school.”
The home buying open house will be held at eight area branches of Webster Bank, including Cranston, East Greenwich and Pawtucket. In southeastern Massachusetts, the participating branches are in Attleboro, Brockton, Fall River, New Bedford and Taunton.
