Last week Interior Secretary Ken Salazar approved Cape Wind, the long-stalled offshore wind farm in Nantucket Sound. If the project proceeds on the schedule of developer Cape Wind Associates LLC, the wind turbines would be generating electricity as soon as in 2012.
A long-time opponent of the project was the late U.S. Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, D-Mass., as well as other politicians and Cape Cod residents, as well as Native American groups in the area.
What is your feeling on the matter?
Hello,,, oil is at $88.00 today and headed upward, unless you live in the Gulf states..then it is free. I see this as a step in the right direction. Peace Monday, May 3, 2010|Report this
