When was the last time you rode a RIPTA bus?

A large part of the federal stimulus package is designed to rebuild roads and other transportation infrastructure.

But another part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 has to do with investing in mass transit.

The state is in the midst of constructing an intermodal transportation facility at T.F. Green Airport that would link the airport, MBTA trains, buses and rental cars, and Gov. Donald L. Carcieri has said that he wants to finish the planned extension of commuter rail service to Wickford.

But for the most part, mass transit in Rhode Island means RIPTA buses, not trains. When was the last time you road a RIPTA bus?
