When Blair Fish decided to open his own agency after building a career in the advertising industry, he had a clear vision for how to make his business grow.

“I learned a long time ago that you have to drive results for your clients. Otherwise they won’t be your clients anymore,” Fish said. “Our mission is to ignite our company’s brands and bottom lines.”

How Fish, 42, and his team of 10 employees at Fish Advertising do that is by focusing their work on bridging the gap between creativity and the digital world in which advertising now lives. With almost unlimited options for messaging platforms and automated design, Fish believes it’s more important than ever to stick to basics.

“Good ideas still conquer and create brands, and in turn, create profitability for the company,” he said.

Fish recognizes his success isn’t just about the work he and his team create.

“It’s awesome to look back and see how much we’ve grown, but more importantly how much our customers have grown, because that’s the reason we’re in business,” he said. “Our chemistry and collaboration with the clients [have] also been a big driver.” •
