A report last week from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics said that employer costs in New England were the highest in the nation.
While there are many factors that go into a company’s decision whether or not to hire more workers, are the cost per worker the most important? Or is it the still weak national economy? State taxes? Or does the close-knit nature of Rhode Island get in the way of companies making headway on adding jobs?
