Will that business idea fly?

Mount Dream is an online network that aims to give would-be entrepreneurs a private source of consumer feedback on new or recently launched business ventures.

“My goal is to be the first place people turn with their everyday ideas to see if their ideas are good and connect with services that enable them to launch,” said founder Michael Markarian of Providence.

The startup offers a forum for feedback that enables entrepreneurs to develop a viable business, instead of daydreaming about it, Markarian says.

While the identity of the startups is revealed to consumers once they sign up for free to offer advice, their feedback is provided privately, he said. The feedback provides insight into whether a business proposition has market value, said Markarian, who charges a fee of $100 per client.

Those who provide advice to others get to post their own ideas for free. •
