Women & Infants physical therapist honored

PROVIDENCE – A supervisor of the Women’s Health Physical Therapy Services at Women & Infants Hospital of Rhode Island was recently named the first board-certified women’s health clinical specialist with the Mary DuVally Distinguished Service Award from the Rhode Island Chapter of the American Physical Therapists Association.

Wendy Baltzer-Fox, of Cranston, who won the award, is the chief delegate from Rhode Island to the House of Delegrates of the American Physical Therapists Association as well as an adjunct family member at the University of Rhode Island.

“I know most of the previous awardees,” said Baltzer-Fox. “I feel very humbled to be a part of this group.”

A graduate of Boston University, Baltzer-Fox received her doctorate in physical therapy from Simmons College in Boston.
