With the rise in workplace health consciousness over the past 10 years, it’s no wonder that Preventure Inc. is experiencing so much growth. The company, based in Coventry, offers workplace wellness to corporations in all 50 states and abroad.

“We assist medium- and large-sized organizations by deploying and managing tailored wellness programs that are customized for every client and personalized for each participant,” said CEO Mark D. Correia, who joined the staff in 1991, when the company was founded by his friend, Dave Pickering. Services range from, among other things, biometric screenings to workshops and coaching.

Correia attributed the uptick to “consistent sales success, increasing the average size [number of employees] of our new clients and retaining existing clients.”

Getting better certainly means getting bigger. Preventure’s full-time staff of 75 has increased by 35 percent over the past two years. For the company’s future, Correia looks forward to remaining an industry leader and continuing to change attitudes about employee health.

The company is revolutionizing the way corporate America values employee well-being, said Correia, showing its true value “by correlating improved employee health and employee engagement with decreased human resources costs and improved financial performance.” •
