How many of your employees do you consider to be overt sports fans?

• About half – 48.5%

• Only a few – 27.3%

• Most – 24.2%

During big games or sports-related playoffs such as March Madness, have you observed employees filling out tournament brackets or creating office betting pools?

• Yes – 57.6%

• No – 42.4%

In most cases, why do you think employees engage in office betting?

• Fun – 65.6%

• Bragging rights – 31.3%

• Prizes – 3.1%

• It’s a good way to boost morale – 25%

• I’d prefer it take place off the clock – 12.5%

What’s your take on this type of behavior during work hours?

• It’s OK as long as it doesn’t interfere with productivity – 62.5%
