PROVIDENCE – Wright-Pierce, a water, wastewater and infrastructure engineering firm serving the New England market, has appointed John W. Braccio to succeed William E. Brown as president and CEO effective July 1.
Brown, who has been with the firm for 35 years and served as CEO since 2002, will remain on as the chairman of Wright-Pierce following his retirement to oversee the transition and focus on strategic initiatives, while Braccio will take over the responsibility of overseeing the operations of the company’s seven offices in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Maine.
Braccio joined Wright-Pierce 30 years ago and most recently held a position as senior vice president in charge of wastewater engineering in southern New England.
“Wright-Pierce is fortunate to have a leader as capable as John Braccio to assume the role of CEO,” said Brown in a statement. “His leadership in driving success in the southern New England market speaks volumes about his abilities. The combination of his leadership and our great team of employees is a formula for continued success and growth in the Northeast.”
Founded in 1947, Wright-Pierce is employee-owned and maintains a staff of approximately 200 engineers and support professionals at its seven offices throughout the Northeast including in Providence.
