Wright-Pierce recognized for $100M pollution control project

PROVIDENCE – Wright-Pierce, a water, wastewater and infrastructure design firm with offices in Providence, was the design engineer for an environmental control project that recently won an Engineering News Record Best Regional Project of 2015.
The publication’s New England 2015 Best Projects recognizes projects in Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire.
The Mattabassett Water Pollution Control Facility in Cromwell, Conn., was a $100 million plant upgrade that has resulted in reduced nitrogen levels being discharged into ecologically sensitive Long Island Sound.
Wright-Pierce, founded in 1947, has 220 engineers and support personnel among eight offices, including at 10 Dorrance St. in downtown Providence.
