Providence is the host city for this year’s National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts conference and biennial. Several exhibits, demonstrations and presentations are open to the public and the cup exhibition and sale will also be available this year. There will be nearly 100 vendors, as well as a collector’s tour, where attendees have the chance to visit private collections and participate in unique talks. This year’s keynote speaker will be Frederick Douglass Opie, who will discuss earthenware and the history of table traditions.
