The ninth annual Newport Mansions Wine & Food Festival will feature grand tastings, seminars (with presentations from Martha Stewart and other guest chefs) and an exclusive Sunday brunch for winemakers. Grand tastings on Saturday will pour into Newport After Dark, where you can mix and mingle with local winemakers, chefs and artisanal purveyors at Forty 1˚ North. The Newport Preservation Society will host tours of several of its properties. The regular, Servant Life Tour, will also be held. That tour allows participants to visit the “back stairs” and rooftops to learn about the people who tended to these enormous estates during the Gilded Age. Some festivities are sold out; check the event’s website.
