Rhode Island Hospital recently celebrated the dedication of a completely renovated family room in its Comprehensive Cancer Center. The renovations were made possibly through a gift from the Michael H. Flanagan Foundation, a nonprofit that serves Bone Marrow Transplant and Leukemia induction patients and their families.

Chafee Distinguished Citizens Award to Jaymin B. Patel, president and CEO of GTECH Corp., and the late Edward J. Cooney, former senior vice president and treasurer of Nortek Inc.
