Chafee kicking off March for Meals campaign
Gov. Lincoln D. Chafee will kick-off the March for Meals Campaign on behalf of the Meals on Wheels of Rhode Island on March 4 at 11 a.m. at the nonprofit’s offices on Bath Street with a proclamation announcement before he delivers hot and nutritious meals to homebound seniors. more

R.I. youth volunteers recognized
Volunteers Marina Palumbo, 17, of East Greenwich, and Cody Clarkin, 14, of Charlestown, have been selected as Rhode Island’s top two youth volunteers of 2013 by The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards, a nationwide program honoring young people for outstanding acts of volunteerism. Both students will receive $1,000, an engraved silver medallion and an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C. more
