Instilling respect in students a focus at Moses Brown
Next month, Joanne Hoffman is stepping down as the head of Moses Brown School – an indepentent pr-K-through-12 school on the East Side of Providence – after 15 years at the helm. Since she arrived, the school has gone through $40 million worth of renovations and new construction on campus and she has led the 225-year-old institution into the 21st century. Hoffman is Moses Brown’s first female head of school, and the board of overseers honored her recently by renaming a campus building known as West Middle House after her.
