PROVIDENCE – LEDalux, the Mule Lighting Inc. division that produces lighting that uses light-emitting diodes (LEDs) has introduced a new lamp product for lighting “always-on” and hard-to-reach locations.

Providence-based LEDalux said the LED Dimmable PAR30 lamp produces 750 lumens, equivalent to a 75-watt standard incandescent bulb, using only 13 watts of power and lasts up to 25 times longer than an incandescent.

Mule Lighting, founded in 1923, added the LEDalux division last year in an effort to tap into growing demand for energy-efficient products.

“Mule has been involved in the development of LED lighting solutions for nearly a decade now,” Rob Cross, vice president of Mule Lighting and head of LEDalux, said in a statement last year after the new unit was formed. “But recent developments in both LED products and technology have so spurred our growth in this area that we felt we needed to more fully focus our resources.”

“The LEDalux Division is committed to designing products that provide the utmost in quality and innovation,” he said. “Our state-of-the-art LED product portfolio will provide our customers with energy- and maintenance-reducing solutions for virtually all lighting applications.”
