PAWTUCKET – The former Schaeffer Furniture building will soon have a new tenant in XPO Boutique, a women’s fashion and accessories boutique.
The building’s two first-floor storefronts will be combined to make one 2,500-square-foot space, for which XPO has signed a five-year lease, according to The Taylor Group of RPL Commercial, the leasing agent.
A block from Main Street, the building was built in 1926 and the second floor is a private residence. “The owners are very happy with RPL Commercial for our ability to target small local businesses for smaller spaces,” Nelson Taylor said in a statement. “Owner Joe Haskett, of the architecture firm Distill Studios, who lives on the second floor of the building with his wife and 3-year-old son, are big supporters of the city of Pawtucket and are excited to be a part of keeping a local business” in the city.
