NEW BEDFORD — CPA and business consultant firm Rosenfield Raymon Pielech PC says one of the firm’s founders, Elliot Rosenfield, is retiring.
Rosenfield, along with Melvyn Holland, founded the firm as Rosenfield & Holland in 1970.
Through mergers, acquisitions and the addition of shareholders through the years, the firm has grown to offices in New Bedford, Fall River and on Martha’s Vineyard.
Rosenfield served as the firm’s managing shareholder, director of human resources, director of business development and director of the assurance and advisory practice section of the firm.
A graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, he earned a master’s degree in accounting from Babson College. He has served a variety of businesses, professional companies and individuals as accountant and business adviser.
Through his career, Rosenfield served on several professional and community boards, according to the firm. He is a member of the board of directors of First Citizen’s Federal Credit Union and has been elected treasurer of the Bristol Community College Foundation.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, where he serves on the Review Advisory Board, the Ethics Committee and Technical Standards Subcommittee.
Also, he is a member of the Tobey Hospital Business Council and an active member of the business community, making frequent presentations on financial statements.
