GUY FIERI IS VISITING Rhode Island and Massachusetts this week to film segments at local establishments for his Food Network show.


ATTLEBORO – The landmark downtown diner Morin’s will get its 15 minutes of fame this summer with a segment on a popular Food Network show and another on a regional cable program.

The Sun Chronicle reported today that Food Network host Guy Fieri will visit the 98-year-old South Main Street diner on Thursday morning and again on Saturday to film a segment for his show “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.” The piece is expected to air in August, the paper said.

Third-generation owner Billy Morin said he believed his is one of a number of establishments in Massachusetts and Rhode Island that Fieri and his production team will be visiting.

In addition to the Food Network show, Billy Costa will be visiting Morin’s today to film a segment for his New England Cable News program “TV Diner,” according to The Sun.

Morin’s opened in 1911 as the Franklin Café and has been in its current location since 1932, The Sun Chronicle said.
