The Rhode Island International Film Festival will present actor Ernest Borgnine with a Lifetime Achievement Award on Friday, August 7 at the Columbus Theater during their 2010 Festival and will screen his new film, Another Harvest Moon. In tribute to this industry legend, Providence Public Library will play his two classic films: From Here to Eternity and Marty, the movie for which he won an Academy Award for Best Actor.

Marty, a homely Bronx butcher (Ernest Borgnine), is unmarried and uninterested. One night, lured to a dance hall, he meets a girl in the same state of mind. Their relationship, seemingly so simple and unremarkable becomes a thing of haunting beauty and endearing wonder.
