Southcoast Hospitals Group has hired chief philanthropy officers for two of its facilities, St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford, and Tobey Hospital in Wareham.
Robin Marek, a more than 25-year veteran in nonprofit development, will lead fundraising at St. Luke’s. She was most recently executive director of development at Bryant University, and previously led the Kent Hospital Foundation in Warwick, which she helped create in 2000. She also led the Kent foundation’s first campaign, to raise funds for a major emergency room expansion and renovation. In addition, she has worked at Brown University and at Providence Community Health Centers.
At Tobey, Clare F. Healy has been hired as chief philanthropy officer. She was most recently a regional development director at Brown University, leading efforts in the Midwest and Great Lakes region for Brown’s $1.4 billion Campaign for Academic Enrichment.
Prior to working at Brown, Healy worked in development for nonprofits in New York City for more than 10 years, including the Special Olympics New York, Junior Achievement of New York and Citymeals-on-Wheels. She has also worked in business.
