Independent names new Rockland Trust president

ROCKLAND, Mass. – Independent Bank Corp., this month announced Gerard F. Nadeau as president of its subsidiary, Rockland Trust Co.

Christopher Oddleifson, president and CEO of Independent Bank, says Nadeau’s leadership as executive vice president of commercial lending since 2007 made him a clear choice for president.

“The outstanding success of our commercial banking division is due to Gerry Nadeau and the team that he leads,” Oddleifson said in a statement.

Nadeau, who’s worked for Rockland Trust since 1984, called the promotion an honor.
“Having devoted my professional career to Rockland Trust, it is truly an honor to be named president,” Nadeau said.
