NEW YORK – Kahn, Litwin, Renza & Co. Ltd. was named among the top 100 accounting firms by the trade magazine Accounting Today, representing the only Rhode Island-based firm to make the annual list.
The 2017 Top 100 Firms and Regional Leaders report is based on the performance of accounting firms during the previous year, and this year it included at least eight accounting firms that do business in Rhode Island. Providence-based KLR ranked No. 88 with $44.3 million in revenue. Last year it ranked No. 92.
“KLR grew net revenue by over 11 percent,” wrote Accounting Today in its analysis, adding the firm’s fastest growing specialty service was international tax services, and its fastest-growing client was closely held businesses.
“We are very proud to once again be listed as one of the Top 100 Accounting Firms in the country,” the company wrote in an email.
Deloitte, currently under heavy criticism for its role in the botched rollout of the state’s integrated health system, ranked No. 1 with revenue totaling $17.5 billion.
Citrin Cooperman & Co., which last year acquired Providence-based LGC+D LLP, ranked No. 21.
